Coleman was born in the Lancashire town of Blackpool. She attended Arnold School in Blackpool. She was a headgirl and earned straight A grades in her A-Levels. She regrets that she didn't receive a standard college education in her discussion of her Emmerdale experience. Coleman became a member of the theater group, In Yer Space while during her time at university. The company performed at the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. Along with being awarded a prize for acting, the play it performed attracted a lot of attention. Coleman was given the part of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while trying out for drama classes in 2005. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007. She won as the Best Newcomer of 2007 at British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. It was the British Soap Awards 2009 nominated her in both categories: Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine as well as the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman received a TV Choice Award nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman, who had replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor after Arthur Darvill left the series and was to play the role with Matt Smith. Moffat stated that he picked Coleman for the role of companion due to her ability to perform best alongside Smith. Also, Moffat noted that she was more talkative than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the industry since 1987, and was a part of various TV shows and films. However, she is better recognized for her TV shows than movies. Eva's roles in TV series Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami make an impact. The latter even garnered her two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations and allowed her to experiment with her talents in music. Alongside being an actress, Eva is also a charitable philanthropist, as well as an businesswoman. Eva has three husbands, and a child from the second.
